To qualify for an internship, you must have a 3.0 grade point average in required TC courses. Additionally, internship applicants should have completed, at the minimum, TC 400, TC 402, and TC 411 (technical writing, technical editing, and visual media in TC) before applying.

It is also beneficial to have completed TC electives appropriate to the kind of experience you would like prior to applying for an internship. For example, should you want an internship in the computer industry, it would be very helpful for you to have TC 407 (computer documentation).
