Arranging your Internship

To arrange for your internship, you should pick up an internship packet from the Internship Advisor, Prof. Tom Williams, 249 Engineering Annex, or from the TC main office. Some of the information in the packet is also available online (click on the items below), but you should still check with the Internship Advisor. This packet contains:

The application form, one signed and dated checklist, and a professional-looking resume must be turned in to the Internship Advisor before an entry code for TC 495 can be issued. Please turn in hard copies of these documents--do not send them as email attachments. These items serve as the basis of your internship placement file. The advisor cannot place you in an internship unless this file is complete.

In order to ensure that you will be eligible for your internship, it is advisable to have this file completed within the first two weeks of the quarter preceding the quarter in which you wish to perform your internship. It is also worth noting that, because most students seem to prefer to take their internships during the Spring and Summer, there is less competition for available internships during Autumn and Winter quarters.
